Event Details

A day together to encourage creative people in the Body of Christ, enabling and supporting the people of God to carry His gifts to the world.

Advance Booking rate £20 (concessions £12) with further group discounts available – book by Monday 15th June

We believe in a creative, creator God. If we have received creative gifts from Him, how do we use them? Is there a set formula, or are there lots of ways God works through us creatively?

“Imaging God in the 21st Century” is your chance to:

  • share your ideas and experiences with a creative body of Christians
  • explore what God is doing among us with diverse arts and opportunities to worship
  • stretch your imagination and faith with inspiring stories and involving workshops

The day will include physical theatre, music, visual art and storytelling, as well as times of reflection and meditation. Workshop leaders, mentors and creative church pioneers will be there to help you find practical support. The musical theme of jazz will provide a rich, playful environment for exploring spiritual expression. It’s going to be fun, and every participant gets free entry to an afternoon jazz concert featuring David Friesen, direct from Portland, Oregon.

Other contributors include: Judith Jarvis, Bern Leckie, David Mowat, Janice Russell, Geoff Hall, Mark Roques and David McLaughlin.

David Friesen concert tickets

You can now book tickets for the afternoon concert (starts 4pm) at £5 each. If you are a Conference Guest your entry is already included, and you do not need a separate ticket. If you want to come to the concert, but not the rest of the day, this is the ticket you need.

You can also book extra concert tickets if you are coming for the day, but have friends to invite for the afternoon performance.

David rarely performs in the UK, and this is a rare opportunity to hear a jazz legend in full flow!

Saint Stephens

"Working with the Spirit at the crossroads of the city," Saint Stephens is an Anglican church in the centre of Bristol.

It brings together people who are following Jesus, believing that God is at work in our world, and looking to join in this work with Him.

We aim to connect with the life of people who shape the city, model work that reveals the gospel way of faith, and develop community for wellbeing and commitment.

Saint Stephens has a growing community of creative people - you can read more at www.saint-stephens.com
